More of John Ive's Fine Craftsmanship

John Ive has definitely built some of the most creative T37s that are sailing anywhere in the world. Here are some more pictures of his splendid T37s along with pictures of his T24 Tug. On the Tug John added the fantail stern, the smokestack and a number of other custom details of his own creation. John also built a standard T24 Tug for the PNMYC for setting marks and rescuing boats if necessary. In these pictures John's T24 Tugboat is keeping pace with the T50, hull number 88, built by Allan Van Ness. Allan's T50 definitely deserves to be represented here in the Master Craftsmanship pages!

John buffs his clear finishes out to 30 thousand grit buffing compound after wet sanding to 2500 grit. Rob achieves equally perfect finishes by a similar method.
