Barry Ford and his 1st T37 Racing Yacht

Barry has now completed a second T37 to sail along with his first boat, shown here. Barry is a member of the West Vancouver Yacht Club and there's the yacht club burgee on his transom. The finished boat is gorgeous. (I had a chance to admire the boat when Barry drove down to pick up his second T37 kit.)

\ Nice job, Barry! Thanks for sharing the pictures with us! I'll look forward to seeing you at some of the Spring regattas for the T37's here in Bellingham. Some of the members of the Bellingham Yacht Club now have built their own T37's and should be turning out to give you some good competition. Happy Sailing!

Dear Will,

Some photos of boat Number 545 on its first lake trials. The boats name is "Mavis" named after my sons grandma who passed away just after we saw one of the T37'S in Central Park New York, and both my son and I thought it would be a fitting tribute to a wonderful lady. Zac and I started the boat in November and completed her in March, we have both had amazing fun building her and to watch her sail is fantastic. this has been very much a joint effort!!! I will send some more photos later, the boats official launch will be this weekend.

Thankyou for a wonderful model, I start the next one later this week.

Thankyou for the great pictures, Andrew and Zac! These are the first pictures of a T37 sailing in England tht we have received. My grandfather was English and flew in the RFC during WWI, so I always enjoy hearing back about our boats racing across the ponds and lakes in England.

Here are some pictures of 2 boats. The white/white was last year's project.
I built the red/white this year to try and get the kids interested in racing
each other. My son and his cousin did enjoy them!

thanks
David

Big and Little Boys and Boats Off to Sea! Light Air

Hello Will,

Well, it did take a while but finally our T-37 is finished and for all
places we claim this is the one to be sailed the farthest away from home ...
these pictures find you from an atoll in the Tuamotus called Toau ... have
fun googling that place.

"If you want, when we hit Papeete in
a few weeks, I can send you the full image and some more.

Thanks for a great boat ... we loved the process of building it with its
great instructions and simplicity and the few hours of sailing we got in so
far have been great both for their proud owners as well as for dad, the
builder."

From theSchmids Family sailing on Lawur. They have reaced Papeete and here are the full size images!

The full size Lawur lies anchored in the background.
