RC T27 Sailboat - Racing Sloop

An RC Sailboat built of wood has a special beauty and gives a special pleasure out on the water. Fast and elegant, the T27 is a model sailboat that not even the Rockefellers could have had for their lake estate due to the technology of radio control not being available at the time. A lakeside estate would certainly have had beautiful wooden free-sailing model sailboats as part of the lakeshore equipment. The T27 rc sailboat with its gleaming varnished wood is as beautiful as any of the traditional free-sailing wooden model yachts of the past century. Light and strong, the T27 is a simply terrific sailboat. Throw the rudder over with the rc rudder control and the boat whips around onto her new course like a bird swerving in flight. If you have seen swallows chasing insects in the evening sky, the T27 RC Sailboat has that same swiftness and maneuverability. One rc servo controls the rudder. The second rc servo controls both sails on this swift sailboat.

We developed this boat for people who wanted a beautiful rc sailboat for their pools, smaller ponds, or to sail from their larger cruising boat. The mast comes out in less than a minute so this rc sailboat stores easily on board a cruising boat. It is great fun sailing the T27 RC Sailboat across the harbor in the late afternoon from the cockpit of your big sailboat or power cruiser. Although the T27 RC Sailboat is a good size for smaller areas like swimmiing pools and small ponds, we also sail this fast rc sailboat out on large lakes and even in the open waters of Puget Sound. Since half the weight of the T27 RC Sailboat is in the ballast casting at the bottom of the keel, it is impossible for this capable little sailboat to capsize. The cockpit is sealed watertight so the T27, like the larger T37 RC Sailboat, is very seaworthy. The T27 kit comes complete with everything except paint, varnish and batteries. All of the radio control gear is included. The hull is built from pre-cut, very high quality 1/16th inch mahogany plywood pieces and goes together very easily and quickly with the boat-building epoxy that is included. With the clear and detailed instructions and diagrams this is a building project that anyone can complete successfully and be proud of for many, many years of sailing. We have had more than 600 of our rc sailboat kits built to date and have six different rc sailboat designs in addition to 4 free-sailing model sailboat designs.
