OWNERS' PICTURES

I was nearing completion of my boat just in time for our annual trip to Quebec, Canada. What a great incentive to finish up, and a marvelous location for the first sail! I couldn't have imagined a better scenario....The morning after we arrived at our cottage, cool air had moved in. I could see my breath, and there was a mist rising off of the warmer lake. A very light breeze swirled across the water, and I watched the movement of the mist to determine my heading. I was thoroughly enjoying this peaceful sail when my boat was joined by two local craft - a pair of Loons!....... Enjoy the photos - I love the boat!!.......Peter

Jim and Chad have the T15 Racing Sloop with which Chad has won several science fair trophies based on his research into speed relative to course and wind direction. They recently built a T37, which they named "Loon" and sent a note along with a great set of photos. Jim's note follows:

"The first few pictures show the construction crew. The sailing pictures were taken at Big Lagoon, CA, on the coast south of Crescent City. We were racing our Mirror Dinghy "Swallow" (placing 2nd in class!).

Loon sails better, and is more fun to sail than I ever would have thought. After trimming, it sailed totally neutral, and was happy in light air or moderate, and did not mind chop.

Thanks for all your help along the way!

You will be pleased to know that everyone at the regatta was taken with Loon, everyone wanted to sail her, and wanted to know what she was. A few already were familiar with T-boats, but had not seen the T-37."

Thanks Chad and Jim!
