Donnie DePasquala's Customized T37

Nearly a year ago we shipped a finished T-Class via Overnight Express to Hawaii. It was scheduled to be in a professional photoshoot on the island of Kauai. We had been looking forward to receiving the finished photos, and they exceeded our expectations! Thanks Melissa!

Donnie DePasquala's Planked T37

Donnie's boat was under construction from January to March 2007. The time he took was well worth it - just glance at the pictures of the finished boat!

First, photos of his T37 kit after taping the hull together. He applies epoxy between the plywood pieces, forming a rock-hard joint with both sides.

Donnie opted to build himself a custom planked deck. Here is a picture of how it was first laid up onto the plywood subdeck.

Here you can see the finished deck. Donnie did most of the deck's woodwork before it was even glued onto the hull. This way he was able to apply his planking more easily and accurately.

The planked hull really adds a feeling of personality to Donnie's hull! The wooden accent around the mast hole is also a nice touch.

But that wonderful finish doesn't end with the hand-planked deck! Some varnish and white and silver spray paint made the rest of the hull shine just as beautifully as the deck!
