Will,

Here are a couple of pictures for you to take a look at before I get her out
on the Conservatory Pond in Central Park this weekend.

Sincerely,

Dave LaValle

Will,

Attached are pictures of the yacht as she sailed for the first time on the Conservatory Pond in Central Park as well as a shot of the boathouse filled with beautiful boats. If you look close, in the right third of the shot in the boathouse, you can see the blue and white sail of my boat sticking up. Enjoy!

The arrow points to the white and blue sail on Dave's T37.

Dave, Thanks for these terrific sailing pictures! Conservatory Waters in Central Park is one of the most famous, perhaps the most famous, of all the sailng ponds in the world. We are delighted to have such a beautiful T37 sailing there!

Happy Sailing,

Will

Attached are two of many pictures taken last week of my T-Class
racer La Ola ("The Wave") free-sailing on Lily Lake in Colorado, elev.
8,880.
Thank you for your help,
Fursey

Fursey, What a beautiful location. I love the massive scale of the rocks and the rocky ridge rising above the lake. What a dramatic contrast to the pictures of sailing on Conservatory Waters in Central Park!

Greetings from a T-37 owner in Pennsylvania,
Launched Shamrock last Monday in Long Pine Reservoir. It is the water supply for parts of Franklin County, off US 30 about midway between Gettysburg and Chambersburg, PA.
Wind was a bit light -- which was ok with us novices. And it was occasionally superb! The boat was very forgiving -- very satisfying to sail: responsive and fast, even in light airs.
Are there any other T-37 owners in my area -- south central PA??
Am enjoying my T-37 immensely,
Mike Cavanaugh

I just wanted to let you know that we completed our boats today and had a wonderful time. Sixteen children in our summer camp, made the boats. We were very pleased with the kits, and are looking forward to making them again as a winter vacation project.

Thank you for the great kits and the helpful instructions. I am including a few pictures of our sailors below.

Thanks, Victoria, for such warming pictures. Kids and boats are such a magical combination. I'm sure these youngsters will always remember this summer day and sailing their boats.

Your pictures quite remind me of this picture from long ago, which could almost be along the beach at Hull, so I have added this picture here, although I think this was not such a sunny warm day as you had.

Dear Tippecanoe Boats,

My name is Shannon. I'm 8 years old. It took a week to build my boat
with my daddy. Her name is S.S. Shannon. She's pink and light blue.
We've had some fun sailing adventures. In San Diego, we were sailing
her at Mission Bay and she went way out on our fishing line and a fish
almost jumped on her! We sailed her in a pool one time and we had an
ant sail on her. I think the ant liked it. One time we sailed her in a
park pond and some evil turtles (Snapping Turtles) tried to eat her!
But she sailed away and was safe!

Hope you like the picture.

Love,
Shannon

Blake sent us these pictures of his dramatic black and white T-Class Racing sloop on its first sea trials attended by its escorts, along with the following note.

Will,
In a world of toys, your boats are in a class by themselves!
Thanks, Blake Schwabauer

These pictures from Tom show T-Class Hull number 16,031. Right! sixteen thousand, not sixteen hundred. Phew! That's a lot of boats out there sailing!! And a lot of boats to have built!

Dear Will,
I sailed my T-Class for the first time this evening at the small lake in my subdivision. Attached are two photos. Dodging the large fountain spraying in the middle was a challenge. Had a great time.

Thanks for the pictures, Tom!

Tom just sent me this new note which I have to add here since this is a great story with a happy ending:

Thanks Will for posting my photos on your website.
I must mention that my town Pearland is just south of Houston. Last week, my family and I had to evacuate the area due to hurricane Rita, which made landfall on the Texas/Louisiana border. After a lengthy bumper-to-bumper drive up to east Texas, we were able to stay with my parents. Amongst the selected valuables and important papers that we packed in our cars, I included my T-Class boat. We expected the worst for our house. Luckily, the hurricane barely brushed the east of Houston and our home was fine. I'm looking forward to this weekend as being uneventful.
Best regards,
Tom Hart

One final note, we just sent two T37s to Lars Magnus Warbert in Thailand and one T-Class to Lars Magnus Magnusson in Iceland. These were both new countries, so we now have boats sailing in 46 countries around the world! There is also a fleet of T37s being started in France.
