"I am so proud of what you are doing." Erik Ekstrom, Rockford, Illinois. This is one of my all time favorite comments from an owner of one of our boats!! It was written to us in a short note. Thank you Erik.
"I am writing to tell you how much I love my T-Class Racing Sloop. Enclosed are pictures of the Christening and maiden voyage of my T-Class Racing Sloop Rociante on Lake Sammamish in Issaquah, Washington.
Since purchasing Rociante she travels everywhere with me. I check the wind all day long and pray for a stiff breeze over my lunch hour.
She sails as great as she looks and never fails to turn heads wherever we go.
Thank you for producing such an excellent product.
Sincerely Jeffrey J. Davis"
(The bottle of champagne that Jeffrey is holding makes this a classic launching! Thanks for the picture Jeffrey and the letter!)

SallyRabbit - an elegant Radio Control T37 - trial sails in the pool
Hi Folks - finally got around the sending you all this
pic of the first sailing of my T37 sloop - she did
right well considering there was a lot of trash wind
blowing from all directions. Have sailed the
SallyRabbit on a good size reservoir called Swift
Creek. she really sliced the water on those days.
Thanks, Ed Gorham
T37 in Wisconsin: "My Name is Nolan Jankowski, my dad and I built this beauty over the winter. We could not wait for our annual week at Palmer Lake in Vilas County, Wisconsin. This was a calm day and we got some practice in. The next few days had strong winds and white caps. Your boat was crashing through the waves and coming down wind like a bullet, what a thrill. We love your boat and might build another this winter. We know you asked for pictures so here you go. If you decide to post this picture on your site please let us know. Your boats are the best! Thanks, Nolan"
Chad won first place at his regional Science Fair for his work with the T15 Racing Sloop. His project was to determine the fastest point of sail relative to the wind direction. The fastest course was a broad reach.
"Hi Will - Thanks for all the fun! I'll send photos. Best Wishes, Andrea"
These are some of the pictures Andrea sent from the Courageous Sailing Center in Boston Harbor. Each youngster is building their own T-Class Racing Sloop. It was a great project and lots of fun for everyone. They built 25 of the T-Class Racing Sloop kits and then raced them together.
T15 Racing Sloop report: "The yacht
Mary K was launched for sea trials on 9-1-01 in northern Lake
Michigan: 10 knots wind with 1 ft. waves. Skeptics doubted the
Wright Bros; the same harpies lined the shore to see the Little
Yacht That Could -- fail. BUT -- the Mary K sailed beautifully!
How you did this with no rudder is beyond me, but she is a glorious
sailor, and the very apple of my granddaughter's eye! She is a
fantastic toy.

"We bought a T-Class boat in 1994. We took it on our honeymoon to the San Juan Islands in August. I'm back for #2 so we can race and hopefully make this a yearly event!" Nora and Timothy Gilbert, Salem, Oregon (If you look carefully you can see the fishing pole lying on the beach behind Timothy's feet. The boat sailing in the lake is sailing with the line from the fishing pole attached to its bow so it can be controlled from shore. The first T-Class Nora selected as her wedding present for Timothy.)
"Enclosed is a photo of the Hot Tub Cruiser. Now I'm saving up for the T-Class. Actually I'm waiting for the area to cease being a winter wonderland. Anyway, Thought you'd enjoy the photo. Carl Nickel, Kewaskum, Wisconsin" - Carl added a cabin and lifelines to his Cruiser model.
Kittery, Maine: "July 15, 1998. Here is a picture of the boat I was given for my birthday in May. I'm very pleased with it. She sails at our summer home where I follow in our canoe. I'm having fun with it and thought you'd like to know. Rev. Richard Souza"
In a great tradition: "Dear Will, Here is the photo I promised you. Taken in the 1930's at East Cowes Paddling Pool, Isle of Wight, Great Britain. My brother, Vic Denham, is 6 down starting on right. The Denhams were "big" sailors, and my father raceed on the J Class in the 30's (and was a shipwright). I grew up in Cowes. So that's why I'm enjoying your boat so much (T15). I have the hull looking great with 5 coats of varnish. My 6 year old grandson did a good coat and some sanding and glued in the keel. I remember in the 40's the model boats still sailing on the pool. Sincerely, Margaret Denham LeBoutillier"

Another family reports: "We won the race with our boat in the Jardin de Luxembourg in Paris! Merci beaucoup, we love our boat! Le Ponteau"
"Dear Will, I purchased one of your T32 kits (#37) at this year's Bellevue Arts and Crafts Fair. Had a great time varnishing and assembling, and have enjoyed sailing with one of my grandsons. I thought you would appreciate some shots of our session at the Bellevue city park pond. "I'm launching it out to sea!" Skipper Shane Monkman, age 5. #37 gets a lift and heads out. Skipper changes tack with a deft touch of the mono. #37 heads back to shore. Nice catch at the shore. Proud and happy skipper after several hours of sailing.
Thanks for providing so much enjoyment. She sails beautifully! Best Regards, David Leisy"
"I mentioned in our call we are the proud owner of a T-32 that I ordered a year ago Christmas. Photo enclosed of PHANTOM N.Y.C. Photo is out of focus but the boat came out great. My other son and I varnished and then found letters and took to a pinstriper for lines.
Boy does the boat sail well!
Thanks and regards,
Bill Cavell, West End Ave, NY, NY"
The T32 (32 inches long) is available by special order. We build it either (1) as a Woodworkers Kit which leaves quite a bit of the shaping of the hull, (2) as a Standard kit in which the hull is already shaped and sanded, or (3) completely finished and ready to sail. The T32 comes either free-sailing or radio controlled. Due to the construction technique, the T32 is more expensive than the larger T37. We also have a free sailing T26 which looks very similar to the T32. The T26 and T32 are hollow, carved western red cedar hulls. Call for pricing.
Here is a great picture of a T26 (26 inches long, hollow western red cedar hull) under sail. Thanks Jim!
"Will For your collection. #12 on it's maiden voyage. The boat performs magnificently. I hope to see more on Lake Ellyn soon.
Regards, Jim Burket
Glen Elyn, Illinois"
Andrew Berg and his Dad did a beautiful job building this T37 kit. And great pictures! Andrew started with a T15 Racing Sloop and then added to his fleet with the T37. We just heard from Andrew and Doug:
Dear Will,
Thank you for posting Andrew's pictures of the T37 on your
web site, it
really made him feel proud. We love the T37 and it still adorns
that wall.
We're heading to Eleuthera, the Bahamas this weekend and are taking
the T15
along for some fun in the water.
Happy Spring!
Doug Berg
That is all of the Owners' Pictures Pages. I hope you enjoyed them! If you have pictures, we'd love to add them.
