Things are really hotting up over here with our T37 fleet activity on the Erskine river and an Easter regatta just around the corner we now have regular practice sessions of short races with 4 or 5 craft whilst using our new starting announcer and our new racing marks and skippers have all improved their skill level, concentration and competition is quite fierce but still friendly.

Interestingly more attention is starting to being paid to tuning the boats and trying to find why sometimes one boat seems to be
suddenly faster than another.

Two T18s beautifully finished sailing in the backyard pool in EGYPT!!

We must admit that we do not have many Tippecanoe boats in Egypt, although there are a few Tippecanoes in the land of pyramids. The earliest known model boats have been discovered in Egyptian tombs dating from 2000 BC or possibly even earlier. A nice example of a sailing model was discovered by Howard Carter in 1922 when he opened the astounding tomb of Tutankhamen of the XVIII Dynasty, c 1300 BC. Recently the wooden mast for this model boat was discovered wrapped in newspaper dated Sunday, Nov. 5, 1933 in a box packed away at the museum and presumed lost, so now the model boat held as a treasure at the Luxor Museum is complete, although not quite ready to compete with these two sleek and elegant T18s! Tippecanoe Boats is happily carrying forward a tradition that has been around for a very, very long time! Definitely Happy Sailors!

These are some happy kids! For most of these young sailors, the T9 they have just painted by themself may well be the first sailing yacht they have ever owned!

We created these fun boats for a photo shoot by Staud

These colorful boats will create a colorful scene with fashion models carrying Staud beaded purses. The purses recreate in beads colorful pictures of Cape Cod Catboats with sails matching the sails that we created for these 9 inch T9 boat hulls.
