The T50 MOD is designed to be a semi-displacement hull. Due to extremely low form drag and extremely low wave-making drag, the T50 can easily exceed its hull speed. This is the same design principle that makes multihulls so fast - multihulls are all semi-displacement hulls. This type of hull does not reach any hull speed limit, but just keeps sailing faster and faster because it makes so little disturbance as it moves through the water. The ultra-light construction and very fine, sleek hull shape of the T50 make this boat ultra fast and ultra fun to sail! The T50 hull is beautiful western red cedar with carbon fiber reinforcing ribbons to make the hull superbly strong and ultra light.

The T50 below is shown sailing with its medium jib. Each T50 Kit comes with a full size 100% jib, a medium 60% jib and a small, heavy air 30% jib.
