Everyone got a turn controlling the boat! It was interesting with so many very young sailors. Most of them did incredibly well!

Although I didn’t keep a record, it took probably about 40 hours in total over a few months…..All fun and thoroughly enjoyable. The directions were very well done and all the fittings, epoxy and all other details were amazing! It's September 30th - A good day for a race!
Sailboats are ready with high hopes for first place.
The crowd is all gathered with excitement in the air -
Awaiting the start with a colorful flare!
The course is a challenge and calls for great skill.
The wind is gusting and the sails it fills.
John's at the helm of his Goldilocks
As the crowd cheers him on as they watch from the docks.
He's in the lead, ahead of the rest,
Where he is competing with some of the best!
Then the boats start gaining from the left and the back,
As John does a jibe and then does a tack!
They cross the FINISH LINE and the race is won!
Now the celebrations have just begun...
John wins the trophy...He's the best!...they say.
All of this happened on his birthday!!!!
